Before you order, here’s what you need to know:

  • Custom & Final Sale – Every piece is handmade and made-to-order. Because of this, all orders are final sale — no refunds or returns.
  • Changes Within 24 Hours – If you need to change your order, email or DM us within 24 hours of purchase.
  • You Ship, You Track – You’re responsible for safely sending inclusions to us and confirming delivery. Production time begins after we check them in.
  • Unique & Handcrafted – Your piece will be one-of-a-kind, with natural variations in color and texture.
  • Care & Warranty – Follow our care guide to keep your piece beautiful. We offer free repairs for workmanship issues within 30 days.
  • Force Majeure – We are not responsible for lost or damaged inclusions in transit or for events outside our control (fire, flood, natural disaster).
  • Sharing Your Story – If you share your story with us, we’ll only post it (without identifiers) if you give permission.

 

Kindred Heirloom Co. – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Kindred Heirloom Co.! These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) outline the agreement between you (“Customer”) and Kindred Heirloom Co., LLC (“we,” “our,” “us”) when purchasing, sending inclusions, and receiving your custom keepsake jewelry. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms in full.

1. Custom Nature of Orders

Each piece is handcrafted and made-to-order using the inclusions you provide (breastmilk, ashes, hair, placenta, fabric, etc.). Because of this:

  • All sales are final. No refunds, returns, or exchanges are available once an order is placed.
  • Design and material choices made at checkout are considered final. Any changes must be requested within 24 hours of ordering by email or direct message. Changes cannot be guaranteed after that window.

2. Inclusions & Shipping

You are responsible for carefully preparing and shipping your inclusions using the instructions provided after purchase.

  • Amount Needed: 2 teaspoons of milk (or the specified amount for other inclusions) per piece of jewelry.
  • Packaging: Triple-bag milk, remove excess air, label clearly with your name, order number, and which piece the inclusion belongs to.
  • Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring your package is safely delivered to us. We cannot be held liable for lost, delayed, or damaged inclusions while in transit.

Production time begins once your inclusions are received and checked in.

3. Production Time

Each piece is made by hand, with an average turnaround time of 6–12 weeks after your inclusions are received. This is an estimate, not a guarantee.

  • Rush orders may be available for an additional fee — please inquire before ordering.

4. Material & Color Variations

Each keepsake is unique:

  • Slight variations in color, texture, and inclusions are normal and part of the beauty of a handmade piece.
  • Gold-filled and sterling silver components may develop natural patina or require polishing over time.

5. Warranty & Care

We want your heirloom to last.

  • Each piece comes with detailed care instructions. Failure to follow these guidelines may impact longevity.
  • ·       If your jewelry becomes discolored within the first 3 months, we will gladly inspect it. If the issue is due to a preservation error (not improper care), we will remake your piece at no cost — you just cover shipping.·

6. Social Media & Story Sharing

We love to celebrate your stories. If you choose to share your story with us, we may feature it (without personal identifiers) on our website or social media, with your consent.

7. Liability

Kindred Heirloom Co. is not responsible for:

  • Lost or damaged inclusions during shipping to us.
  • Delays caused by shipping carriers or events beyond our control (weather, supply chain issues, illness).
  • Allergic reactions to materials. Please confirm compatibility with gold-filled, sterling silver, or resin before ordering.
  • Damage, loss, or destruction of inclusions in our possession due to fire, flooding, theft, natural disaster, or other force majeure events beyond our control.
